Production Blog : Filming

 Hey blog I am back again! I have an update as to where we are with our filming for the movie opening. If you recall, I told you how my brother, along with Hailey and Kylee and I, are participating in the film. Hailey filmed the first few scenes, and then had to relocate to her house. At her house, either her sister or my brother would film her in the scenes. In the scenes where my brother and Hailey both appeared, we had her sister, Kaitlyn, assist with filming. We continued filming on another day. Or should I say a scary night! 

So, at this point we are filming the second portion of the film. Hailey is located in her room, about to sit down at her desk. We use her laptop to join a google meet call with Kylee and I. In later blogs we will share the technology and creativity behind the use of google meet, and its role in the opening sequence. Jonathan then films Hailey exiting her room, and through her house. At this point, we have to switch to Kaitlyn filming because Jonathan will be used in the next few scenes. She records Hailey approaching a window near the front of her house, and Jonathan appears outside. They take the recording back into inside the house, where Hailey runs through the house and into her room. We are back to the google meet on her laptop in the next few scenes. We switch through filming Hailey and the actual google meet screen. The google meet screen shows Kylee and I. We were able to "film" the screen by simply screen recording the call and saving it. Basically, the rest of the clips are filmed in her room, and on the laptop.

Not sure if you were aware, but, everything was filmed on an iPhone Camera. This is the only filming technology we were able to use at the time. None of the groupmates had a quality camera we could've used. However, if we did, we wouldn't think twice about using it!

Anyways, I have talked a lot today. I think its time for you to have a small break from me, but I'll definitely be back soon. Goodbye friends!

 Hello Blog! I'm back, and this time with more progress on the editing of our opening sequence. Kylee, our dedicated editor decided it would be best to split up the project to work into sections. It made a lot of sense to Hailey and I. In a sense that it would initially help the editing process run more efficiently. And if anything were to go wrong anyway, we had the project shared, and were able to collaborate right in the moment. The idea of splitting sections also allowed involvement from all group members in one aspect or another. Kylee was quick about her selected section. She claimed to edit the ending scenes because she enjoyed them most. She said watching it was intruiging, and it would be the enjoyable to edit. We didn't compete nor complain with her pick, because she was the initial editor. So, it was kind of what kylee wants, kylee gets, type of situation! LOL. Reflection

 Hey blog! Its Marissa again here, and I am officially done with my commercial! I hope it was entertaining to watch. I am here to reflect on the experience and creation of the video. I first started off with the technological device of a Ipad. I chose the Ipad because its not as big as a computer, has many features, and has editing software other computers may not have. I used the editing software of Cap cut to then publish my commercial. I did actually have my phone, to select pictures from my camera roll and send videos as well. I chose my Ipad not only because of the ease of maneuvering it, but because I have alot of storage on my Ipad. After downloading capcut on my Ipad, I explored this app and was able to find my way around it, implementing photos and videos to then make my commercial. Production Blog : Music

 Hello blog I'm back! Each time we talk, the closer we are to sharing our opening sequence. It is all coming together piece by piece. The next step into our project, was selecting our music. My teacher informed the class that we either had the chance of using owned music or audios off of royalty free music. However, with owned music, you must contact the company or actual owners to be granted permission to use their sound. We would have to receive an email stating the confirmation before we were able to continue with our project. After me and my groupmates discussed, we decided that we don't know how long we'd have to wait to hear back or if they would charge anything. We were only hesitant about royalty free music because the sound choices would be on the generic side. There was a chance of others having either similar, or the same song choices for their opening sequences or movies already out there.  However, it was all going to work out!
