TITLE RESEARCH: WATCH THE TITLES WEBSITE

 


        

      For the final task project, title design is a major factor as to how the plot will play out and how the theme and genre is portrayed. To get a good understanding and idea for our title design we researched the website, Watch the Titles. The website provides opening sequences to movies ranging from low to high budgets, which is helpful when planning how the final task will look based on money and originality of props. While researching we noticed there is a student projects tab which really shows how creative we can get when designing our title from fonts to colors. This site is very useful for us to get a deeper understanding of how our title should be designed based off our genre, horror. 

        Also, different designers are listed on the website and their stylistic choices when it comes to designing titles. Another feature that helped when researching was the opening sequences being the only thing accessible rather than the whole film. We found this helpful because it was easier for us to really understand what the movie genre was just from watching the portion in which we are going to be creating instead of the whole movie and plotline. Based on the features of this website, our idea for our title design is much more understandable due to researching and reading about the designers and their effect on a film. In full effect, researching this website gave our group a deeper understanding and idea on how we will design our title during editing.

Production Blog : Location

 Hey blog! It's Marissa once again, talking to you lovely folks. Today I will discussing some locations and "sets"' chosen for our opening sequence. It surely wasn't a difficult time choosing where we were going to film, but it took a little bit of time. For the last project, my groupmates and I had no idea where we were filming. We were in between a friends house, a friend of a moms house, or one of ours. We sort of waited too long, and didn't receive confirmation from anyone, so we ended up filming at my house. So, similar to last, we were in between a friends house or one of ours. Since we used my house last time, we decided to use it again as one of the locations. However, for our opening sequence we needed a separate location. So, we chose Hailey's house as the other place.  Hey there blog, its Marissa here! I'm new to this blogging stuff so it should be a new and interesting experience. Before this journey begins, I believe you should know a little about me.
